How the score works
How the ranking works

Rox Score uses the same core points approach as the official HYROX ranking, adapted so it can rank every athlete—not only licensed elites. Each race score is the race ceiling multiplied by the square of the winner-time-to-athlete-time ratio. Base ceilings are 90 for Open, 100 for Pro, and 110 for every Elite race.

Ranking mode

The ranking adds the best five solo results from a rolling 365-day window. Athletes with fewer races are projected to five with coefficients from 0.90 to 0.975. Field strength uses the ranking before the race: one top 0.1% athlete adds 5 ceiling points, two to nine add 10, and ten or more add 15.

Known limits

The rankings rely on public HYROX data and some inconsistencies can still exist. We have worked hard to reduce issues such as homonyms and messy identity data, but edge cases remain. Please contact us using the details at the bottom of the page if you want to declare an inconsistency that you found and we will fix it.

Score model

There is also no perfect formula as it will always have bias: a different Score Model would likely produce slightly different results, even if we believe this one reflects a fair ranking of the best HYROX athletes.
